The third Film Forum of Solisur, a grassroots organization of the Latin American Bloc Berlin, focuses on Indigenous People’s resistance for the right to their lands, self-determination, and a place in the political sphere of Latin America.
This edition of Film Forum takes place two days before the Indigenous Resistance Day and presents two documentaries: "Mbaraete’I Katu / Juntos nos fortaleceremos" (2023, Brazil) and “Allpamanda” (2023, Ecuador). The first film presents a vision of struggle against mining and agro-industrial enterprises from 2019’s new elected government in Brasilia, while the second presents a historical glimpse to Ecuador’s Indigenous People’s fight for autonomy, which is alive and going on since 1980.
What is our role in these fights? Can we do anything to support these resistance movements? Come and share your opinion in this space of critical and solidarity analysis. Through memory, consciousness, and reflection, we weave networks of internationalist resistance. We look forward to seeing you!
