The Tegeler Fließ is one of the most unspoilt natural habitats in Berlin. In some places the well-constructed wooden walkways, which ensure dry feet, and the detailed information boards, maintained by NABU Berlin, are the only signs of civilization. Many species of birds, otters, grass-snakes, deer, and water-buffaloes may be encountered. The charming village of Alt-Lübars is situated near a nature reserve and boasts a well-known restaurant, the Dorfkrug, which offers delicious lunches. Bus Nr. 222 goes to Tegel via S-Bahnhof Waidmannslust.
The distance will be 9 kilometres. Bring sturdy shoes, binoculars, and rainwear, if required.
