Bog to the Future - Tech Innovations in Peatland Restoration

Peatlands are among the most important natural climate solutions and are essential to achieving Europe’s climate goals. This embassy reception will showcase state-of-the-art peatland restoration and monitoring solutions from Germany and the UK.

This event will showcase innovative MRV technologies such as earth observation tools, gas flux measurement systems, remote sensing, and AI applications used in peatland restoration. It will feature initiatives from Germany and the UK, highlighting how nature conservation practitioners collaborate with scientific institutions and technology companies to deliver durable, cost-efficient restoration at scale.

This evening is designed as a marketplace-style exchange, allowing participants to explore initiatives, engage directly with practitioners and innovators, and discuss practicial challenges and solutions over drinks and fingerfood.
