Looking for a hands‑on holiday activity? Join our family‑friendly workshop and turn a simple wooden box into a unique wooden pull cart. No experience needed — just curiosity, creativity and the joy of making something together. Families with kids aged 6+ and adults are welcome. We explore sustainability, recycling, intercultural exchange, simple mechanics and the fun of screen‑free time.
The wooden boxes come from our project “300 Holzkisten!” funded by Stiftung Naturschutz Berlin, and all materials and tools are provided. Hosted by Neighbourwood Fischerinsel, led by Amin Mohammad in cooperation with Stiftung Islam in Deutschland.
You can find the Kiezwerkstatt Inselhandwerk in the skyscraper at Fischerinsel 6, 10179 Berlin. The entrance is on the ground floor, directly to the right of the building’s main entrance. Participation is free. The workshop will take place in German and English. Participation is free.
