Upcycling to-go: Sewing and Fashion Recycling

In this weekend course, you will gain your first experience of upcycling clothing and get creative. The aim is to recycle old clothes and give them a new lease of life instead of throwing them away. Practical exercises will encourage you to discover your creative skills and practise sewing on the sewing machine.

Contents:
- What is upcycling and why is it important?
- Getting to know materials: You bring along items of clothing that you would like to repair, rework or donate. 
- Practical exercises: With guidance, you will learn how to alter, upcycle and repair old clothing. You have the opportunity to make new items of clothing from the pool of materials you and the other participants bring.
- Sewing on the sewing machine: You will learn basic sewing techniques on the sewing machine and put them into practice.
- Exchange and inspiration: The course offers space for exchanging ideas and inspiration so that you can find creative solutions for upcycling clothing.

Prerequisites: No previous knowledge required. However, you should have an interest in fashion and sustainability and be willing to get creative.

The course will be held in English.
