A few weeks after the UN climate negotiations in Bonn, the G7 Summit in Elmau, and one day after the Petersberg Climate Dialogue in Berlin we would like to discuss the state of international climate diplomacy and the expectations of civil society ahead of COP27.
What momentum has been built in Bonn, Elmau and Berlin? What is needed to move international climate negotiations forward to reach an ambitious outcome of COP27? What are the priorities of the Egyptian COP27 Presidency and what are the expectations of the civil society?
We would like to discuss these and other questions with you at the #20 Berlin Climate Talks with the following guests:
- Jennifer Morgan, State Secretary and Special Envoy for International Climate Action, German Federal Foreign Office
- Ambassador Wael Aboulmagd, Special Representative for COP27 President Designate
- Ambassador Mohamed Nasr, Head of Climate, Environment and Sustainable Development Department, Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Christoph Bals, Policy Director Germanwatch, member of the speaker board of Climate Alliance Germany
- Dr. Camilla Bausch, Scientific & Executive Director Ecologic Institute
With short interventions from German and African civil society.
