Join botanical dyer Ania Grzeszek of www.kaliko.co for a "Bundle Dyeing" Workshop in Wedding.
Did you know that you can keep the beautiful plant colors in cloth? Just by making a simple bundle you can magically stop the time for the blooms, roots, and leaves.
You will learn which local plants can be used to get pigments form and how to achieve different visual effects with your bundle. If you are interested in how non-toxic, natural dyes can be applied to the fabric, join us in our new studio Exerzierstraße 8.
You will be introduced to the beautiful alchemy of botanical bundling and will leave with your own botanically dyed silk scarf.
This workshop will cover:
- different types of plant pigments and how to use them
- preparing different fabrics for the dyeing process
- how to make plant colors light- and wash fast
- using different bundling techniques to achieve different results
This workshop will be held in English but questions in German can be answered too. If you're a beginner or have only a basic knowledge of the subject, this introductory workshop is for you.

All materials will be provided, including fabric, mordants and dye plants.
Ania Grzeszek is a weaver and botanical dyer based in Berlin. She is working with natural and healthy pigments and fabrics since 2015, with the focus on materials that can be obtained locally.
