How to Change the World – One Poem at a Time

Vortrag
Jugendliche, Erwachsene

Are you annoyed by all the bad news everyday? Sick of the feeling there is nothing we can do to stop the world from going down? Fed up with the fact that despite the great challenges all around us there is little political leadership to get on about it? Do you worry that all the dystopian stories like "Brave New World” are just about to come true?
So are we! But we believe that there is one strength we all have and we should tap into: the power of community. If we seek to make a better world for everyone, then we need to begin by building a strong, supportive community of positive and passionate individuals. Collectively, we have the power to push for a just and sustainable world for all.
But where is the fun in all this, you ask? Wait no longer.
We invite you to a special night of poetry, politics and community. We will bring together people with a wide variety of talents and backgrounds. To celebrate how far we have come, and to reflect upon where we can go next. It’s hard but it should also be fun.
"We have already seen the year of no, the year of hate, the year of "it’s too late”. So we declare this, 2019, the year of hope.” – Musa Okwonga  #yearofhope.
